Showjumping season opens with SJTK Horses Birthday Competition

Showjumping Tasmania Kingborough Branch hosted the opening of the showjumping season with their 7th annual Horses Birthday Competition on Sunday, August 7th.

SJTK are lucky to have the use of the HPRC all weather arena which means the surface was perfect for jumping despite all the recent rain.

Entry numbers were huge considering the time of the year, with over 80 horses competing in 10 events. The largest class had nearly 50 starters.

The feature class of the day was won by seasoned perfomer JP Party Time ridden by Tim Williams.

Many of the riders were using the competition as a tune up for the upcoming Australian SHowjumping Championships which will be held in Werribee In September

Showjumping Tasmania Kingborough Branch next competition will be their Spring Showjumping Festival, held on October 1st
