Equestrian Tasmania is delighted to announce the launch of the ETAS Sport Development Grants. These grants have been created to ensure funding is returned to the heart of the sport and aids the development of officials, volunteers, programs and facilities.
These grants are available to the following Sport Councils and their branches
- Dressage Tasmania
- Jumping Tasmania
- Eventing Tasmania
- Show Horse Tasmania
- and EA coaches and officials

ETAS Supporting Volunteers Grant
The ETAS Sport Development Fund - Supporting Volunteers Grant aims to support the recruitment, retention and training of volunteers.
The grant provides financial support for
- Volunteers to attend training e.g. first aid, mental health first aid, child safety, cultural awareness, governance
- Other activities/ costs which support volunteers will also be considered
- Volunteer recognition – gifts, vouchers to recognise exceptional volunteer support

ETAS Coaches & Officials Development Grant
The ETAS Sport Development Fund for Coaches and Officials provides funding which is aimed at supporting individual coaches and officials to develop and increase the standard of excellence by providing funds directly to the individual to assist with travel and accommodation expenses associated with attending EA/FEI recognised courses.
The funding also supports ETAS Sports to support the growth and development of officials through educational opportunities such as workshops, seminars and online training.

ETAS Club Development Grant
The Equestrian Tasmania Sport Development Fund - Club Development Grant supports development and growth across the sport through the improvement of facilities, infrastructure and equipment that assists with building membership and developing equestrian activities.
Amounts between $500 - $5000 can be applied for.
Applications can be made to support:
- Establishment of new facilities
- Equipment to enhance the delivery of the sport
- Improve the safety of the sport within the club
- Recruit new members
The funds cannot be used for maintenance and applicants must show they are contributing dollar-for-dollar the requested amount, in-kind contributions cannot be counted.
